Al-Fateh Grand Mosque is Bahrain's most prominent Islamic landmark and one of the largest mosques in the world. Located in Juffair, Manama. Built in 1987 by the late Sheikh Isa ibn Salman Al Khalifa and named after Ahmed Al-Fateh — founder of modern Bahrain. Covers 6,500 square metres and accommodates over 7,000 worshippers. Its fibreglass dome weighing approximately 60 tonnes is among the world's largest.
